2026 Winter Olympics - Milano/Cortina - One year to Go!

 


The Countdown has started!  The Milano/Cortina Winter Olympic Games will open one year from today!

Yes, I know it is a little early to get excited but not for me!   The games will be held from February 6 - 22 2026.  The outdoor events will be held in the Cortina region of the Alps featuring the queen of the Dolomites, Cortina d'Ampezzo, while indoor events will be held in the city of Milan (or Milano as it is known locally).  They will debut a new discipline, Ski Mountaineering, in which athletes hike on foot, cross-country ski, and down-hill ski during a competition.  I'm really looking forward to seeing it!
