Cleveland/Akron's own LeBron James to carry the flag!

 



That's right folks!  Lebron James is part of Team USA's basketball team and has been elected to be the male flag-bearer at the Paris Olympics!  All of the athletes of Team USA vote for the flag bearers and LeBron is the first to be named.

This will be LeBron's 4th Olympic games.  He has won 2 Gold medals and 1 Bronze medal with Team USA in his Olympic career.  The "National Team" has been playing some "round-robin" games again other nations for a couple weeks now and it is looking like Team USA really needs to step it up.  At the last game, Team USA was losing but LeBron got up, took over, and pulled out a victory.  This isn't the first time he's done this.  I watched every Olympic Basketball game LeBron has been in and when we start going down, he has always been able to bring us back from the edge!  

It is sad that he has to do this but I'm so glad that he has.  That first Bronze medal from the Athens games (LeBron's first Olympics) really didn't sit well with him and since then he has pulled out all the stops to bring home Gold.

LeBron didn't participate in the Rio or Tokyo games.  So it is interesting that he is back for this Olympics.  Perhaps he is lighting the way for his son, Bronny, or he just wants to have one last games under his belt before retiring.....only LeBron knows!

I am looking forward to seeing Team USA on the Olympic courts again.  I just hope the rest of the Team is as dedicated as he is.
