My Olympic Flag is Up!

 


A few years ago my Best Bud, George, bought me my own Olympic Flag for my birthday.  Ever since, as soon as competition starts, I hang the flag in my front window.  I love it!  Now, it is correctly displayed from the outside and this picture is from inside my house, so don't ding me for that.

Competition starts today with the first round robin games in Soccer and Rugby 7s, as well as ranking rounds in Archery.  If you have Peacock you can view most of these live, but these are really more Team placement rounds at this point.  You can also view over on NBCOlympics.com

I know Opening Ceremonies aren't until Friday, but it is common for the more commonly competed Team sports to get started a few days before.  This allows all teams to get a feel for each other, get rankings for the medal round brackets, and just play in the Olympics.  There are A LOT of countries that compete in Soccer and Rugby 7s!   So they need these extra days to allow everyone to play each other.
